I suffered from MAJOR insomnia a couple of years ago...up for 3 months straight except for the occasional 30 minute naps during my lunch hour. In my case, it was anxiety...even though I didn't show any other signs of anxiety...I was pretty chill and not stressed out at all. I ended up taking an anti-anxiety med and have been sleeping almost too well sense. I cut my dose in half because I felt like I was losing my day-time edge....and right now things seem semi-okay. (I still tend to stay up too late....but not from inability to sleep).
I hope you find some method to tackle this...because it truly sucks! And having people say "just get some sleep" doesn't help!

@FigNewton I would have never thought of anxiety being a culprit, but it does make a lot of sense! I honestly don't think it is stress related. I am ruling out things as I go along.
I also have my annual physical scheduled with my MD next week so I might bring it up then as well.
Thanks for your input! 😁
