I Keep My Emotions Bottled Up

I tend to do that. I don't show my emotions too much. I hate crying in front of every one. I just fight back the tearsm my mom says be honest with my feelings and she let me get out easy and tells me to tell her what's wrong. With my mom....when something upsets my mom or its heartbreaking to her, she breaks down crying. Even when she is giving a speech. I was like, "Mom people are looking." She said, "I don't care. I WANT them to see how I feel about this situation. You'd be upset about this too. I'm blunt and upfront and I'm not afraid to show my feelings. I'm not sorry for it."
I don't like showing my feelings in front of people but how is my mom not afraid. When something upsets her she isn't afraid to show her feelings or cry in front of us.

Maybe it’s generational thing.

It gets easier to let your true emotions show as you age - from my experience.
