I get my second Covid shot on Wednesday then I'm heading to New Orleans for a long weekend. Haven't been in a long time.
My friend's son is graduating from university. It'll be my first time meeting him. A few other friends will also be there that I haven't seen in 23 years. One couple lost their 18 year old son to murder last February so I've begun crying again yesterday about that; it's hit me so hard especially since finding out one of my high school buddies passed away suddenly a few days ago at 49.
Other children from our friend group will be there with a Mother's Day Brunch on Sunday.
I love New Orleans and its food. Here's one of my favorite treats I'm looking forward to!
