I Hate My Country

I noticed in November a weird pimple in my belly. Got an appointment with my family doctor. He sent me to the dermatologist. Two months later he checked me and decided the pimple had to be removed. That was a month ago.

Supposedly I was having my (very minor) surgery today, but at the hospital they told me they will put me in a waiting list and will call me when the surgery may be carried out. But before I had to sign a lot of papers saying I took responsibility in the surgery results.

Three months and three doctors later nothing has been done. We used to have a great national health system. Now it is screwed.

My sister lives in New Zealand and when she got a cancer in her skull they hospitalised her the same day and she is now cancer free .She said she was glad she wasn't in the uk as she was sure she would no longer with us had she relied on the N.H.S .All her care was free which also surprised her .

That's really a great health system. Here it works fine for urgenciez, but otherwise surgeries or appointments with specialists may be long delayed.
