I Hate My Country

i just read about a hospital in the city of Almeria (South-Eastern Spain) where patients must wait up to three months to go through cancer treatments, but now they may choose halal and kosher menus too.

Life is a matter of priorities. It is obvious what the priorities are in this case.

Perhaps withholding halal and kosher menus would not have improved cancer treatment waiting times. At least it's a small improvement for some service users. I.e. they can eat when they're in hospital.

I don't know how much is the extra cost of those menus, but being the situation so extreme, I think every cent must be spent in saving lives. Then you offer all the different kinds of menu you want.

@Cierzo: I read something online which pointed out that the uk govt can't afford police, but it can afford tax cuts for the rich. That's what corruption looks like my friend.

@JaggedPrincess: This is the system we live in and its priorities.
