Audio Books

I used to love to read, I find it difficult to find time to read these days but I'm hooked on audio books, when I was working in my office I would listen on the drive in, now I'm working from home if I'm doing simple tasks I'll listen or if I'm washing dishes, walking the dog I listen. Do you think there is the same benefit to listening to a book as there is reading it?

I tend to remember things far better listening to them.. Do old school book readers look down on audio books or even ebooks? Interested to see what people thoughts are on this.

I've found well chosen narrators bring life and color to a good story line.
Welcome change over the drone of dialogue in your own head.

You retain material better in listening, I find. Very convenient for driving, biking, or destressing task free.

Like others, audiobook was a natural transition from podcast.
