Audio Books

I used to love to read, I find it difficult to find time to read these days but I'm hooked on audio books, when I was working in my office I would listen on the drive in, now I'm working from home if I'm doing simple tasks I'll listen or if I'm washing dishes, walking the dog I listen. Do you think there is the same benefit to listening to a book as there is reading it?

I tend to remember things far better listening to them.. Do old school book readers look down on audio books or even ebooks? Interested to see what people thoughts are on this.

i would love to have all of the Game of thrones books on tape...that would be cool. i only read in the bathroom right now because i think my eyes are too old now.

@LILY61 I have tried reading GOT but struggled with them even after watching the show but may revist it via audio. Same with LOTR. I want to read/listen to that before the new series comes out.
@SW-User i read the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy when i was 18 and 19 and 21 and 22. it took me a while
