I Love the Band Kiss

Ah, Kiss. The first rock band I ever really got into. My dad was the one who tuned me into their music when I was 9 years-old. I overheard him listening to the song "Detroit Rock City" and I really liked it. He had a Kiss compilation album he let me listen to and I fell in love with every song on it. 😍 For the longest time, I was just a huge Kiss fan! As I grew older, I started getting into other rock bands and Kiss no longer became one of my favorites. But I still enjoy their music from time to time. 🙂

Saw them at Riverfront coliseum in 1976 before their "reveal". I have a couple of favorite songs: "Rock and roll all night" and "Black Diamond". The Replacements did a cover of "Black Diamond" that gives a different intensity to it.

Pleased to Meet Me would be my fave, along with Let it Be. Saw them in a small club in maybe 1992, but I ended up more excited about their opening band, Uncle Tupelo. 😃

Yeah, I was really excited to see them, but they were unfortunately past their prime. Nowhere near the legendary band I had heard about on that night. I think it was the All Shook Down tour.

Their mystique is the live show...just put them on in the car to listen to and the music can be a bit meh for the most part. But they've got a few songs that are quite catchy.....they have a few gems that aren't even some of the more popular songs.

That's the song that got me into them too....lol I first heard it because a kid in middle school had a crush on me & gave me his MP3 player.
That song was on it & immediately became one of my fav songs on that MP3 lol

They were my first ever rock concert - 1978 in Madison Square Garden, NYC. I was thirteen years old. 😃
