I Want To Stop Letting People Get To Me

It’s the dumbest and childish thing ever and one of the biggest flaws I have. For some reason I’ve always cared about what people thought of me. Then I’d try hard to fix things and it would almost always make the situation worse. It bugs me greatly and I don’t know why. I may be 20 but some days I feel like I haven’t grown up. This is one of the things that makes me feel this way.

I still feel the same sometimes too. It definitely makes the situation worse and it makes you feel like shit. People who don't care have a much more free life.
Since we only get one chance at this, we might as well look after ourselves and not worry about what others say.

@rottenrobi I’ve really tried and it’s very difficult. I hate hurting others... I always try and be there no matter happens. Like if me and a friend fight I immediately try to fix things... I don’t have many people in my life because they walk in and out when it’s convenient for them and I just smile and cry on the inside. It’s always when I need someone. I always wonder what goes through people’s heads about me it just bothers me. I’m giving myself away essentially, wish I could say screw it and look after me but... I’m struggling doing so

@Throger it's a learning process, but a powerful one. You're not being mean, you're simply protecting yourself. You know?
Someone once told me;
what other people are thinking about you, is none of your business. It's really true. Just focus on you. Things will fall into place.
