In light of recent events, do you believe the world as you've known it is gone for good?

This is mainly a question for Westerners on here. Do you still believe what you've considered "normal" up to this point in your life is capable of being restored?

I'm just curious to see where the needle of public perception lies at this point, and will not be participating in any discussion that emerges in this thread. Any explanation of the basis for your thinking would be appreciated as well.
