I Am Retired

I have heard some folks say they don't want to retire. They wonder what the heck are they going to do if they retire. I say... whatever you want to do!
I have waited for the day when I did not have to punch the clock. I have dreamed of the days that I could play in the garden. I wanted to stop going 100 miles a minute to get things done. I looked forward to long walks, laying around and just listening to Nature without a care. I enjoy not smacking the alarm clock any longer. I love getting to know myself better, only because I have Me time finally! Yes, I am at that age now, which is kind a scary but retirement is good... just wish I was 20 yrs younger ;-)

@smileylovesgaming huh... some would agree with you. But for me, I am just as active as when I worked. I am just doing what I want without a time-set or someone over me telling me what I got to do! I am a hyper soul, so I am never bored. And being bored would be something new to me...there is always a good book to read! ;-)

I cannot wait to retire. By then I shall likely be tired of working. Maybe when I am 63 I will be able to. Hope so. Meanwhile I make each day sing. I read. I write. I hike. I surround myself with loving people. Your age is just fine. Enjoy. I love your stories.
