I have been shy my whole life [I Am Very Shy]

I remember a long...long time ago, back when i was in high school, i had a huge crush on a young lady named Jessica, most of the guys in school thought she was hot. She was a cheerleader, class president, homecoming queen, just a beautiful and intelligent young lady. I worked up my courage one evening and looked her phone number up in the phone book (some of you youngsters may not know what that is) and i called her. She was very nice, we talked for nearly an hour, just making small talk. I often think back on that evening and i wonder if she ever thinks about it as well. My guess is that she doesn't, my guess is she forgot all about it after a week or so because she was always so busy and had so many guys show interest in her all of whom were much more appealing than a skinny kid who no one really knew...but sometimes i wonder if a friendship might have developed if i had just told her who i was...talked for nearly an hour and never told her my name, she asked several times but i never worked up the nerve to tell her.
