Hmm, maybe I'm wrong here....but if you wanted to be alone wouldn't it be simpler (and cheaper) to buy a bottle of booze, go back to your place, snuggle in and drink until you're blotto?

My ma, (we're from the South) told us girls (her daughters):

Hm, i think it's a bit of a curse for both sometimes.

I used to talk to girls just for conversation but they'd be rude to me because they thought i was hitting on em, then i feel kinda offended lol.

I'm sure it probably obvious in your case though.
