Any with VR Headset Experience?

Mrs. Budwick and I are not gamers.
But, don't fear technology either.
We've been thinking that maybe a VR Headset might make watching movies a better experience. Maybe they have programs that allow visual immersion at unusual places we can't actually travel to.
If you have experience / knowledge on the topic and are willing to share -
let me have it!

Hey Bud, how's by you?

No VR experience here. But if you wish to make movie watching more enjoyable, might I suggest getting comfy, pulling the Mrs. close and...restarting the movie as needed? 馃榿

@Bozette Hi Boz!
Good to hear from you.

We're both doing OK.
Spring is upon us - still a little wet and chilly to work outdoors.
But, I'm working at home, Mrs. Budwick is attending to stuff she had put off til she had some free time.
Now, we have lot's of extra time - sigh.
In Ohio, we're all on a Stay at Home order.
It's only been a few days and already getting a little old.

I ordered an inexpensive VR Headset.
Supposed to get here on Saturday.
We want to try out one, before committing more money.
I'll let you know how we like it.
But, snuggling sounds like a better alternative.

Be well my friend!

Yeah, we are on a stay-at-home order here, too.
Idiot gov is using a model that promotes a 3-month lockdown. *Sigh*

@Bozette BTW - My VR headset arrived yesterday.
It's interesting but you were totally right - it can't beat sitting close to Mrs. Budwick in front of a regular screen. We likely will use it occasionally for gazing at interesting views. Like yesterday, I tried a program that promises a spacewalk from the ISS. So far, I can't navigate to the airlock! It reminds me of being ion an escape room, and you gotta find and figure out clues. So, I'm glad we got it and glad I got the inexpensive one.

The technology is not advanced enough yet to be that much more enjoyable. Short films are available which are promotional videos for the vr tech. If you鈥檙e planning to pick up a headset,go for the one with the best resolution. Those slide your mobile phone into it kinds are worthless. I personally get nauseous after about 15-20 minutes

@Bagalamaga Thanks Humbug.
I'm looking at Occulus Go. It's inexpensive compared to gaming models.
I don't know what the resolution is.
Nausea is one of Mrs. Budwick's concerns.

Damn. She's probably bored of you. 馃き

@Budwick Still here. Don't you have a hobby or something. Go like play somewhere or something. Thank you. 馃檪

@Zonuss I think the proper reply is something like -

"Gosh no Budwick, Sorry I can't help you there.
In fact, it was pretty rude of me to say anything,
since I had nothing to add to the conversation."

Something like that.
