Are some Disney movies getting more aggressive with death?

I've been watching some of the more recent Disney movies (The Good Dinosaur, the Jungle Book (2016)) and they show other animals/characters dying. Like they showed beings getting bitten at the jugular, head ripped off, and swallowed alive. I know there's been plenty of death in older Disney movies, but it's always just been alluded, not shown

They have lost the ability to be subtle...

Disney may be more powerful than ever, but they've lost a lot in the process.

They are no longer interested in quality, they just want to make a fast buck.

No. Disney movies are much more saccharin than they used to be. They used to have some darkness left to them. The newer ones are just dribble and fluff.
