Did u guy's hear

samsung is discontinuing it's blu-ray and 4k blu-ray player lines. They said people are starting to watch movie's on Netflix and Hulu and vudu more. I just wonder if this is close to the end of dvds. Kind of bad if you ask me. Some of my movie's aren't on Netflix and Hulu or vudu. I don't think DVD sells have went down. Gee Wal-Mart is all was sold out when I go there.

All my blu-rays are Sony, so if Samsung quits making them, it makes no difference to me.
@texasmentor54 Same with me.

@stopforcefeedingmemorepizzas I think 4k failed. Gee a 4k is like 28 dollars for one

Video tape, Laser discs and now DVD's standard and Blu Ray. They all have a life of 15 to 20 years or until the next format comes around. Think about how many times they can sell you the same movie on different formats. Now it's streaming, just another format.

I remember when cassettes and boom boxes were all they rage and you had to go to blockbuster to get a movie.
