@GeistInTheMachine Krishnamurti wrote an interesting book on fear, its called "on fear". came to a similar conclusion, he said fear is an avoidance of reality instead of facing it. similarly, Henri Laborit wrote a book called "eloge de la fuite" where he discusses the fight or flight reaction, but the third option, called "inhibition of action", is fear, its when we freeze and do nothing.
