So, since when do you hate money so much, Hollywood?

I'm disappointed beyond words that after waiting years for either of them to happen, apparently neither "Clerks III" or "Mallrats 2" are ever going to see the light of day, due to a general lack of interest for either project. Tell me, Hollywood...why do you hate money so much?

What escapes me is why the famous Mr. Smith doesn't just take the same approach Ralph Bakshi did for his "Last Days of Coney Island" project and that Joel Hodgson did for the new "MST3K" season (initiate a KickStarter or IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign and use the funding from there to get both projects off the ground).

Because it's a major step backwards if you're looking to go more in the direction of Jersey Girl.
Which was major budget, major cast, big step up from the jay and Silent bob stuff.
Both for Smith and ViewAskew/Miramax.

Smith has tried so hard for so long to put his ideas and fantasy role play stuff on screen, and i swear nobody writes dialogue like this guy ! But if you've been following his posts on Facebook in recent times you'll know that he's really down about the whole movie making business at the moment !

He's messing around with podcasts and the like because nobody in Hollyweird wants to invest in movies at the moment !

I'll assume you know why neither of those films got made. Hollywood not wanting money didn't come in to play.
