I Am Amazed At How Cruel Some People Are Capable Of Being

I had a falling out with a person I thought was a friend a few years back. One of the things that hurt me most was him saying that my partner didn't hit me hard enough. I used to be in a relationship with someone who beat me from time to time. Seeing as he was one of the very few people I told about that I was shocked he would say something that nasty. Especially because it wasn't funny and it's something nobody deserves. You try walking around with bruises and an aching jaw.

You've never met my parents. They basically tortured me and my brother going up. Often starved us and if were caught stealing food, they'd make us throw it up. Then they'd put food in our mouth, but we couldn't swallow. It just had to sit there and if they suspected we swallowed some, we'd be beaten black and blue

Domestic violence is wrong and it’s against the law. Period.

Friends sometimes say hateful things to each other in the heat of anger. I would bet he’s thought about it over the years and cringed.
