Why does breaks up take so long to get over?

Its pretty fresh and depending on how long u 2 were together, it's gonna take even longer. The important thing is that you're allowing yourself to go through the motions and not dismissing your pain..grieve the loss but try not to allow yourself to go way under ya know? Close friends and family will be especially important during this time.

There were times when I felt like I wouldn't get over them and that I would be heartbroken forever and then... time passes..just like that! You start to heal and it feels less painful eventually. You'll find that you don't cry at the memories as much, that song doesn't overwhelm you anymore, you see them and don't get angry or bitter anymore because you're healing and slowly letting it go...you might find you even learn a thing or 2 about yourself during the process and that's ok! Just as long as you get better.

So...don't beat yourself up too much and even though it's an incredibly cliched statement, TIME really does heal those wounds!
