I have a theory that there are subatomic particles that enable free will and I call them infinicles. I can't see any other alternative to determinism.

Like I said we are only talking about scientific theories. It's unreasonable to assume we are discussing investigations of frameworks, that's on you.

Just like you assumed he said hypothesizing requires prior evidence.

You are desperate to the point that you have to create stances no one is defending and attack them.
@Miram ? I am disagreeing with your stated position about "any dissertation or thesis"...which is obviously wrong.

There are all manner of theories which are created by scientists. Some are tested, some are not; some are discarded, some are not; some are picked up again & given new clothes; etc., etc., etc.

I am not sure why you don't "get" that theoretical PhD's exist, in spite of the fact that you claim they cannot.

I am actually not trying to assert positions not taken; this is your stated position, above.

I guess you might be in a social "science"...?

What do you mean by determinism? If you are posting here, quantum mechanics IS the fixing of the Newtonian deterministic (clockwork) Universe to match observations.
@LittleBlueAngelBoy So the extreme Augustine view, that we are predestined to Heaven or Hell?

I don't think free will is a mirage, but not because of some subatomic particles, but because of how this life is constructed.

I think God created/allows Evil so that we actually are presented with a REAL choice, not some fake choice. We can, at each moment, choose to walk & work WITH God, or AGAINST Him.

I think this gets to the heart of what really seems to drive God: that "His" desire is not to create us just to judge & damn & destroy/torture us, but to have relationship with us. This implies God's restraint, "His" choosing to NOT use "His" power(s), while hoping that we freely choose to walk with, follow, work with Him.
@SomeMichGuy Nothing to do with heaven or hell.
@LittleBlueAngelBoy Then rejoice in quantum mechanics, for is has overthrown the deterministic, clockwork Universe of Newton.

At the most fundamental underpinnings of the Universe, it is based upon wave phenomena...probabilistic wave phenomena. This makes the Universe a far richer, more interesting place than determinism ever could.

I think you mean icicles.

All or one?
protons, neutrons, and electrons ?
@LeaDhelani Separate from those.
