I Am Tired Of The Lies

I keep seeing posts that seem posted by bots... Lofty, predictable, obvious and ultimately pointless thoughts... Things like:

- "I hate bullying, I don't think people should be bullied blah blah blah..."
- "I think domestic violence is wrong blah blah blah..."
- "I think wealthy people should help others blah blah blah"
- "I think love is more important than money blah blah blah"...

I mean, isn't all that OBVIOUS...? It's like pointing at the sun and saying "Look! The sun is bright!"

Who's behind these bots? Is it SW, trying to create "engagement" and make the site look "busy"...? Is it marketing research companies tweaking their bot algorithms...?

Regardless, it greatly bothers me that users are being duped into chatting with a computer algorithm believing they're making a true, human connection. It may seem harmless or be construed as "entertainment", but it's ultimately deceiving, insulting and offensive to make people waste their time responding to automated sentences passed as human thoughts...

I guess if you're only just realising that stuff then its engaging. I've been away from sw for a while and idk if it's still the case that we can't make new groups, but it really feels like the same old stuff from years ago.

I doubt they are bots. There is a question robot here, but its questions are clearly labeled and they are merely recycled questions submitted by actual users. I think the type of posts you are referring to are simply the result of basic people signaling their virtue.
