I Hate Traitors

To all those traitors in the uk who cannot respect the rule of democracy and wish to undermine it with a second referendum ,You should all be ashamed of your selves the uk was built on democracy where the will of the many out weighed the will of the few .We had a referendum and we voted to leave .That should be respected and acted upon .If you do not wish to live outside of Europe then go and live in Europe .DO NOT try to undermine our democracy just because it doesn't suit you .

Breaking my SW virginity here before I even finished a 'I'm a new member...' post, but I couldn't resist...

First of all I don't want to slip into [i]ad hominem[/i]ism already, but naming yourself after a country which in its final days can hardly be said to be representative of the "will of the many", is kind of instructive...

Secondly, in a democracy people are entitled to change their minds and express that change to the people they choose to represent them in a national parliament.

We did have a referendum, which was at best ill-advised, at worst conducted corruptly (on both sides). We live in a Parliamentary, representative democracy: Parliament is not put there to enact 'the will of the people', but to (to paraphrase Burke), offer collectively its best judgement in what is in both the local and national interest.

It isn't 2016 any more. Maybe those interests would involve re-evaluating our previous choices.
