If a transgender guy becomes a female and likes a guy, is he technically considered as gay or straight?

Innocent curiosity. Apology in advance if I offended anyone🙏
Trans or not, gender is biological.

Having an artificial Vagene doesn’t make you any less gay, unless you say “no homo” then it isn’t gay.

Just because someone has surgery to change what reproductive organ they have, doesn't make them the opposite gender/sex. it's all in the genes/DNA and we currently can't alter that. And even if we could there'd probably be a high risk of death. Even though the guy wouldn't have a penis, and would have a vagina... He'd still be a guy.. Same for vice versa, if a girl had surgery to switch, she'd still be a female. Sexuality has nothing to do with what body parts you have. Biologically a male is a male and female is a female. if you're a guy and you're sexually attracted to other guys, you're gay. If you're a girl and you're sexually attracted to females, you're a lesbian (or gay, i don't know why people insists on constantly changing terms) If you're either and are sexually attracted to both, you're bisexual. (sorry for the long reply, wasn't quite sure how to respond to this.)

Straight.

I don't encourage sex reassignment surgeries because of the significant number of patients who regret going through it. But I acknowledge the gender accepted by the person as their own, post and pre-transition.

Last year we lost a brilliant mind in neurobiology, he revolutionized our understanding about neurobiological diseases and developed better approaches of treatment. It was not up to other people to decide his gender, and it is often those of little contributions who feel the need to.

He is not the only transexual with remarkable achievements but he personally inspired me.

@Miram well said, BA imo 👍️💜
The proof is in the plumbing.
I personally feel that a person is not capable of changing the sex of another person. Man made vaginas and penises are not real. That's just my opinion of course.
ArianaRose25 · 26-30
Depends on the transgender. If they change to the opposite gender than they could be gay or straight. Or even bi. It depends on the transgender person.

But in that case, straight.

Some of the ignorant comments on this thread make me shake my head. I would say she is straight.

I have been with a mtf transgender and she considered herself a straight girl

Gender identity and sexual orientation are not the same. Transgender people may be straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual, or queer. For example, a person who transitions from male to female and is attracted solely to men would typically identify as a straight woman.

I don't know about the pedophile remark but I will certainly look and see what it says.
@Footsugar123 Revisions can be dumb. This one is. It has not changed the disproportionate suicide rate among those who suffer from gender dysphoria. It's like the AMA saying Tuberculosis is no longer a disease.

Origin
On 5 May 2018, the University of Würzburg in Germany held an event with the theme of “Future Societys” [sic] that featured Mirjam Heine, a medical student who gave what would become a controversial presentation on the subject of “Why our perception of pedophilia has to change.”

In her talk, Heine told the story of a 19-year-old Jonas, a Munich law student who is sexually attracted to girls aged six to 12 years old. “But since he’s aware of the consequences for the children, he has never given in to his sexual drive.” She cited the tenth revision of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD 10) for the description of pedophilia as the “sexual preference for preadolescent children” and pointed to unspecified research that differentiates between child sexual abusers and pedophiles.

Heine’s most controversial comments rocketed across the Internet when websites ran reports of them under headlines such as “TEDx Speaker: Pedophilia Is an Unchangeable Orientation,” which led some viewers to believe Heine had condoned “an illegal and harmful practice.” Although Heine did make a comment about pedophilia’s being an “unchangeable sexual orientation,” it was offered in a fuller context which we’ve transcribed here:

Let me very clear here. Abusing children is wrong without any doubt. But a pedophile who doesn’t abuse children has done nothing wrong. I want to quickly summarize where we are at the moment. According to current research, pedophilia is an unchangeable sexual orientation, just like for example heterosexuality. No one chooses to be a pedophile. No one can cease being one. The difference between pedophilia and other sexual orientations is that living out this sexual orientation will end in a disaster.

Pedophilia is not defined by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) as a sexual orientation: it is classified as a disorder in the fifth and most current revision of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM 5). Discussions that attempt to equate pedophilia with sexual orientation have been contentious, primarily because of the false belief that members of the LGBT community are predisposed to child molestation. Those who argue against civil rights for the LGBT community often cast those rights as a slippery slope to legalizing child sexual abuse or bestiality.

I understand where you are coming from. From my stand point the medical boards are splitting hairs with them trying to put everything in it own category. It's necessary though because of how it pushing some people into it that doesn't belong, I can say one thing. This world is heading for hell at the rate its going. I read a article about schools in California teaching pedophilia as a sexual orientation like any other because it was done in history. Making it seem like it was ok for anyone to have sex with children. I couldn't hardly believe it. My opinion about California went down hill to the gutter.

Hm, my trans friend identifies as a girl who is actually a gay guy, but my other trans friend who was a girl identifies as a gay guy.

😐️ wut
VodkaBec · 31-35, F
@Ryannnnnn I have a trans friend that is extremely pretty, feminine and has a body to die for including the gorgeous hips and shapely bum that doesn’t usually come with the package. SHE respectfully doesn’t buy into theses conversations and refuses to declare herself either, I’m almost jealous of her, and she started her life as a male, lol.
This question has always bothered me, as does the difference between sex and gender, tbh.

What does "technically" mean?

Is it based on biology, psychology, legal definitions, a specific dictionary, prevailing meaning?

It seems to be me, if you accept that SRS can change a male to a female, she would be straight, but some people accept this and some don't.
Graylight · 51-55, F
Transgenderism is the innate identification of self as either male or female (not going to get into a multi-gender argument here.)

Sexual orientation is the innate attraction toward another gender.

the two are separate things. If someone is attracted to others of the same gender (with which they identify), they're gay. The opposite applies.
When a lady likes men only, she is straight.

So she would be straight.
BlueRain · F
Gay. One can’t change their gender.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
I have several articles about men who have artificial vaginas and they say that their sexual response is male and not female. One notable one committed suicide as a result.
Winnie · 31-35, M
Straight...beacause of different biological genders
SW-User
@Winnie Biologically he'd still be a guy, so he'd be gay.

MTF (male to female) that dates men is gay to me but if everyone wants to be PC they would consider the couple straight.
