heard about the mother who is forcing her 6 year old son to live as a girl?

[c=#7700B2]and apparently keeping the father away because he is saying their son is not transgender and when his son is with him, he chooses all the time to be a boy despite having the choice..

If this is all true, how has that mother not lost custody? stupid question I know because family law is so incredibly biased towards fathers.

forgetting all that for a minute. I wish parents who separate would actually think of their child and not trying to hurt one another because they are just hurting their child the most.

She is obviously crazy, I saw a story about a couple letting their two year old chose what gender to be.. two years old. Two freaking years old
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@FreeSpirit1 [c=#7700B2]or the parents who don't want the childs gender on the birth certificate because they are not going to let the doctor decide that for the child …. some people are just crazy[/c]
This makes me really sad. I was so scared to come out as Bi and this poor boy is not allowed to be the actual boy he was born as. How are we this fucked up as a society? I don’t get it.
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@DarkHeaven [c=#7700B2]well I don't think we should lower ourselves to be on the same level as that mother. I think most people would not be doing that to their children..As much as I think society is going downhill, I think in this case,the women is just out of her mind[/c]
@PlumBerries Still makes me sad. My friend Sam was the sweetest and shyest person you could ever meet. She was the most beautiful person I have ever met but she was born a boy. She was also the bravest person, I have ever met in my life and I never could have come out as Bi to my parents without her example. She refused to be told who or what she was, regardless of the consequences and believe me, she paid so dearly. We both collected her stuff from her parents yard after she came out. I graduated HighSchool in 94 and it was a much less accepting time. It was around the time of Matthew Shepard’s murder. One of my tattoos was designed by her and I miss her everyday. I never did understand the depression she suffered and I feel like I failed her as a friend. Her suicide destroyed me in many ways and I just hope, that she knows she was loved by me. She was my best friend. 🖤
@PlumBerries I’m sorry, Plum. This was probably the wrong format but I’m just emotional right now. 🖤

I’ve heard about it, and I am at a loss for words.

i hear from it more often and i feel sad when they put children on hormones. i think its child abuse :/ let a kid be they dont have any agenda, only adults
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@SW-User [c=#7700B2]exactly. yet people say its child abuse if you don't do it [/c]
MethDozer · M
@SW-User History will surly look down on us as a generation for that one.
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@MethDozer [c=#7700B2]lol well I hope we don't get stuck in the same category as them[/c]
VeronicaPrincess · 61-69
If he's not trans, she is doing him a horrible disservice. The long term ramifications to his psyche are unfathomable.
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@VeronicaPrincess [c=#7700B2]well she isn't letting him see any other psychiatrists or doctors that the father has requested and that she can not be in there[/c]
VeronicaPrincess · 61-69
@PlumBerries Is it the boy in Texas? If so, and if the articles I just read presented it in an accurate manner, there need to be a second opinion. Life is challenging enough for truly trans people - forcing a non-trans child into such a situation is just wrong.
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
[c=#7700B2]yep a second and possibly a third opinion[/c]
Synyster · 51-55, M
It's unacceptable, and you're right about ... " I wish parents who separate would actually think of their child and not trying to hurt one another because they are just hurting their child the most."

I blame family law and it's dysfunctional system, along with money hungry lawyers. She's clearly a NUT CASE.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
In America, the courts typically award custody to the mother unless the father really fights it and can prove that the child would not only be better with the father, but being with the mother is actively detrimental to the child.

Since the culture is currently promoting transgenderism as a civil rights issue instead of a mental health issue, these types of situations are bound to happen.

Of course, the child is the loser in all of this.
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
[c=#7700B2]children need both parents not just the mother though.

and it isn't really a transgender issue it sounds.. more like a mother who is abusing her son like this[/c]
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@PlumBerries
and it isn't really a transgender issue it sounds.. more like a mother who is abusing her son like this
No? She is insisting her son is a girl and refusing to allow access to him by anyone who might think differently. Her "abuse" would seem to stem directly from her belief that her son is transgender. Where do you think she got that notion from?
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
[c=#7700B2]yet the father says a completely different story and give the son freedom to choose and yet he always always wants to be a boy with him and the mother refuses to let him go to other psychiatrists for other opinions.. [/c]
Wow that's insane, sounds like she really wanted a daughter.
That's horrible
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@MushroomFaerie [c=#7700B2]yeah poor kid [/c]
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Can't even give a kid a tattoo till they are 18 and they think this is OK? World's gone to hell in a hand basket.
That shpulld be illegal
maybe she hide from authority she sounds nuts poor child
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@DxNxA [c=#7700B2]and she is refusing to let her kid go to other psychiatrists without her.. that alone shows she is nuts and obviously doing it.[/c]
@PlumBerries definitely... wow

That's the world we live in now.
It's only going to get worse.

More power to women though!
PlumBerries · 31-35, F
@SW-User [c=#7700B2]sadly I think you are right[/c]
Elegy · 46-50
It's rarely that simple.
@Elegy You know, I’ve been thinking about this but maybe the child identifies as a female but this story is from the father’s viewpoint and he thinks this is being forced on him because he is scared to come out about his gender identity to his father. Six is awfully young for these sorts of questions either way. I don’t know.
Elegy · 46-50
@DarkHeaven I'll just respond with the most empathetic quote I read in the article.
. The pediatrician admitted, "I obviously cannot diagnose anyone based on newspaper reports." She further insisted "this may not be malicious on the mother's part. She may sincerely believe she is doing right by James."
@Elegy 🖤🦋

I’ve not heard anything but to me it sounds like child abuse.

@PlumBerries I know it isn't. Just showing the example of what happens.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@PlumBerries It isn't. But this is another example of how the politics of transgenderism superseded the rational and accepted medical practices of the mainstream and how this person was probably a victim of the transgender political movement.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@MethDozer I love this right here:
The parents, concerned about their son's prospects for future happiness and sexual function without a penis, took him to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore in early 1967 to see John Money,[12] a psychologist who was developing a reputation as a pioneer in the field of sexual development and gender identity, based on his work with intersex patients.[13] Money was a prominent proponent of the "theory of gender neutrality"—that gender identity developed primarily as a result of social learning from early childhood and that it could be changed with the appropriate behavioural interventions
John "Money"????

Sometimes the universe winks at you, eh?
