There are good reasons and bad reasons for tears during and after lovemaking. The emotions evoked can just be overwhelming (even if it’s in a good way) and tears do not necessarily mean sad or in pain.
Tears CAN mean that, though, and you need to discuss it.

Studies have shown that there are a lot of women (and some men too) who become emotional during (or around, before or after) orgasm. Some women cry, others laugh...it's not common but it's not unusual either. There may be nothing wrong at all.
