Why Do So Many People Have A Problem With Guys Being Feminine?

Why do they have to be looked down upon by Society?
because straight dudes with fragile egos dudes don't like to see boys who are as pretty as girls

@GlueGun I think they are intimidated by us too. If they see us and we are convincing they are not sure what to say!

I think everyone has a yin and a yang side. It's just that some of us like to express both sides when possible. What's so wrong about that?

@ReneeT I totally agree.
I think society has loosened up considerably.

I love wearing feminine things and having feminine tattoos. I am straight and have a loving wife. She just asks if I keep it indoors, I'm ok with that.

@Azool Have you ever went out on public dressed as a female?
Azool · 41-45, C
Yes
That’s not what I see when I look around. Men and women being told not to be men and women while the ltgbihdryfkbgd crap is celebrated and shoved down our necks daily..
where do you live?

Seems it's all about guys should be masculine and girls should be feminine. I've not encountered people having a problem with it irl. Worst case scenario they get confused for a moment but then they move on. I know if I exposed my "cute side" in other circles, I'd probably have older men criticizing youth being less masculine than before and that I should man up but I guess their father/grandfathers criticized their generation about something else.

Testosterone. The 'male' hormone causes certain physiological changes in boys that turns them into men and therefore masculine/manly.

Being masculine is not a social construct, it's a biochemical result.

True ^^ but still some people will expect masculinity and be disappointed with the lack of it

Stereotyping and upbringing doesn’t help. People are people and that is what should be celebrated.

Sometimes it's not genuine and seems over the top.

@abe182 I know a lot of the younger guys on the 'scene' around here seem to think that they HAVE to act that way to be a 'proper homosexual'. So they put on an act. Eventually they grow out of it though.

@Quizzical that's good. I just have the problem with posers, that's all.

I wonder if there were ever effeminate cavemen? 🤔
laotzu92 · 70-79, M
They shouldn't have.

Cuz a lot of fem guys act very childish. It's actually worse than being with a woman.
