I don't understand...

How a parent can just walk out of their child's life without remorse. I have seen it and feel sorry for kids because they are missing out. I was raised by a single mother and I found out my deadbeat father passed away. I wonder if he regretted not being in his kids life. (He had a ton of kids by different women.) I also noticed fathers that get their children's names tattooed on them usually don't stay in their kids life. From what I seen. Just wanted to be random. What are your thoughts?

alot of people like to prop themselves up to be the model parent, but, the truth is quite the opposite at times.

@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy can you explain a little more.
@Sunflower2021 many can claim or portray themselves as ideal parents, but, sometimes, the truth is quite different from how they portray themselves.

@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy oh yeah that's true too. I think family and maybe friends are the ones who see the truth.
@Sunflower2021 having worked in prison for 30 years plus, i definitely hear the stories of how the inmates miss their kids. and then when you look at their record..... sometimes 8 or 9 different terms of incarceration or more, you see that they love the criminal lifestyle more than they love their kids.

@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy wow. Yeah my brother says he misses his kids but when he was around them he didn't do much of interacting with them nor does he make an effort to see them. He just uses that so people can feel sorry for him.
