I don't understand...

How a parent can just walk out of their child's life without remorse. I have seen it and feel sorry for kids because they are missing out. I was raised by a single mother and I found out my deadbeat father passed away. I wonder if he regretted not being in his kids life. (He had a ton of kids by different women.) I also noticed fathers that get their children's names tattooed on them usually don't stay in their kids life. From what I seen. Just wanted to be random. What are your thoughts?

@Eyeamhere True. Alcohol is the cause for my brother to go downhill and not be a part of his kids life.

{@sunflower2021 ] yes some walk out on a relationship or marriage and do not realise the hurt and trauma it causes the kids . they say kids flourish better with two parents in a stable relationship . they become the victims of a split in a marriage or relationship through no fault of there

I hear about these guys alot but have never met a man who doesn't have his kids in his life. I think that guys who do this are just really young and immature and were never taught to be responsible or accountable for their actions

They're doing the kid a favor 9 times out of 10.

Not everyone is fit to be a parent and it is far more honorable to own up to that and remove yourself from their life than it is to stick around and then neglect and/or abuse them.

My thoughts are you make your own family despite what you are born into.
alot of people like to prop themselves up to be the model parent, but, the truth is quite the opposite at times.

@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy oh yeah that's true too. I think family and maybe friends are the ones who see the truth.
@Sunflower2021 having worked in prison for 30 years plus, i definitely hear the stories of how the inmates miss their kids. and then when you look at their record..... sometimes 8 or 9 different terms of incarceration or more, you see that they love the criminal lifestyle more than they love their kids.

@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy wow. Yeah my brother says he misses his kids but when he was around them he didn't do much of interacting with them nor does he make an effort to see them. He just uses that so people can feel sorry for him.

I dont know about this since I'm an orphan and adopted
Sunflower2021 · 31-35, F
@KitCloudkicker well it does since no parent wanted to take responsibility. For whatever their reasons were, they thought being adopted would be in your best interest.
