Being healthy and working is hard

I just recently started my first ever full time job. When I get home I am so exhausted (and sore for some reason?) all I can do is pass out in bed and stare at my phone for like a couple hours then fall asleep. My diet has gone out the window. I used to be cooking all my meals and making sure I ate fruits and veggies and all that and now.....I have just gone back to ordering food all the time because I have no energy to cook and I have started eating garbage snacks as a way to destress.....

I need to break out of this and be healthy again....it is hard when my boyfriend is not helpful. He doesn't really care about health. A lot of days he will complain if I mention wanting to cook because he doesn't feel like it (we cook together) or he just offers to order food. Or he will say "I feel like ice cream, want some??" And it is so hard to turn it down. I have had talks with him before about how this needed to change and he will improve for like a week or 2 kind of then he will go back to how he was.

I know when it comes down to it I will just have to force myself to cook and grocery shop despite my exhaustion and somehow find better ways to deal with my stress than drinking and junk food. It's just way way easier said than done. I also shouldn't let my bf's unwillingness to be healthy or cook affect my choices, and should just do it without him. It just makes things so much easier with his help and it helps with my motivation too.

Health requires nurturing body, mind and soul…
Meal prep on the weekends can help keep u on track with what you actually put in your body. Have a weekly list of food shopping u follow strictly ,no "treats" . Have a day every week or two where you can reward yourself and relax . GL it's hard being on track but you can do it . 21 days and you will be good to go

It takes time to adjust. Exercise before work, like I do. I run a couple miles, and I feel great during the day. Take it a step at a time, and work your way up to where you want to be.

Your job will get easier and you will get less tired ( what type of job ) and take a healthy lunch with you....when you get home cook simple things or have a salad ....your working will get easier, that's a fact
You would slowly get used to of the work. Though your bf needs to step up. Health is really important.

@aaaabbbb I think he realized he has been slipping lately because he has started being on top of the healthy stuff again. (Kind of, he still bought me a monster even though I did not ask for one 😑)

I think my health issues scared him. I've been having severe knee pain since starting my job and it may be due to being overweight and having to be on my feet frequently during the day :/
@Hush92 I see. Well health is one aspect of life which we should never take granted for it. If he is taking step to participate is good.

I hope you're able to overcome you issues. Weight for sure will impact knees. I also have knee problems, sometimes.
