UTF-8 doesn't use only eight bits, as one might expect. Rather it's an expanding coding method that could use up to thirty-two bits. Does that count? (No pun intended.)

@SW-User Well, luckily Java does most of the background work in figuring-out how many bytes to use, otherwise headache is exactly what it would be MM!
