I Do Not Like Being Told What To Do

Now two Swedish women have launched a campaign to persuade people not to take flights

Why are there so many people trying to change the world (to make it look the way they like it)? Why so much telling others what to do and not to do? Are they bored? Are they simply sanctimonious?

I saw a TV programme this morning about a group protesting and working against the situation that female version products charge higher than male version products while the products are basically the same. This idea was alright until they said that these companies was the ones which set standards for being female and males, even in toys for children for example, pink for girls and blue for boys; and these companies is wrong to stereotype genders in order to boosts their sales and revenue.

Upon hearing this, I thought this protester group is extreme and narrow-minded. Generating business and revenue was why those companies exist. Setting different types and versions of products are proper statics. If they do more harm, it would be something much more important than packaging in different colors.

The programme then had an interview with Lego. The spokesperson said they received comments from parents that Lego puzzles were too masculine and asked for improvement to be more suitable for girls. The company then made Lego human figures with more curves which looked more like human.

Another interview was conducted with a shop. The spokesperson said product prices depend on lots of factors. For example, products for males usually have better sales than those for female, so manufacturers produce fewer numbers for the female version, thus higher cost and price for each individual female product.

I also wonder if these protesters are bored. If they have nothing to do they should open their eyes and see wider of this world.

@Sssslm Everyone is an activist these days and tells you what to do. I miss the times when business just wanted to sell their products, media just wanted to inform, and people with too much free time in their hands or too much need for attention did not have social media to preach
