The SW Team is pleased to provide you with an update of what has been implemented since our last announcement.

[big]• Help Center and Staff Support 🆘[/big]

We have built a number of frequently asked questions over these years, and we've finally made a Help Center answering all those questions:

The Help Center might be missing some basic questions (e.g. How do I change my email address?), but we were mostly focused on actually answering the questions people ask us the most.
We will slowly continue to add new questions as users ask us.

Note also, we will [b]not[/b] be frequently monitoring or answering [b]Private Messages[/b]. The reason we are doing this is because we noticed we were spending a grealy significant amount of time replying to users, where a huge percentage were questions where we can't really help much.

Therefore, we built a Staff Support center where only [u]very serious matters[/u] that cannot be handled by yourself, with the information from the Help Center, will be responded to.

[big]• Search Profiles and Private Messages 🔍️[/big]

You can now search private messages and find old entries quickly.

Just press the Search button that you can find on the top of a thread:


You can also search posts on any profile by pressing the Search button below the user's awards:


You can also search on the "Recover Deleted Posts" page, located at the bottom of your Account Settings.
(Note that we keep your recently deleted posts available for recovery for 6 months.)


[big]• Control your Notifications Default Setting ⚠️[/big]

You can now control whether you want to receive updates of All Replies to Post or just Replies to my Activity, when responding to a post.



[big]• Updates on Gifts 🎁[/big]

Here are some new features added to Gifts:
- You can now Search for gifts in our Gift Store.
- You can return wrapped gifts after 1 month since you sent them to someone. Coins will be refunded to your balance.
- If a gift has been unwrapped, you can mark it as Private or Public. It is useful for those cases when you don't feel good in having that gift public anymore.
- You can also permanently delete a gift after 1 month of it being archived.


[big]• Security Improvements, as usual 🧱️[/big]

We are continuously working on improving security and other technical elements.

During the past month, we have done several upgrades to the software we use on our servers, and applied a number of extra caching and technical ways of making Similar Worlds load pages much faster, while using less processor, memory and disk.
For those who are interested in knowing, we've also enforced Strict rules in our Databases to ensure your data is better protected and integral when it is saved in a database.
It involved a lot of work to make the Similar Worlds code compatible with all these upgrades.

In addition, LOOOADS of glitches and minor bugs fixed, and LOOOOADS of small improvements to the System, Security and User Interface. :)


[big]• What's next? ⚖️[/big]

We will deliver a number of options for users to [b][c=#BF0000]filter Extreme Sensitive and Extreme Fetish contents[/c][/b] on Similar Worlds.

We are aware that many users complain about others posting contents that do not interest them or are hard for them to look.

We're definitely working towards adding settings to accommodate that, but we need to be very careful in the way we implement this, for a number of reasons (technical and ethical).



💡 [b][c=#BF0000]If you find any weird behavior in our system, please let us know straight away by sending any of the admins a Private Message, an email to us or open a Staff Support Ticket.
This is the best way to reach us (rather than creating a public post) and ensure that we will look into the problem as soon as possible.[/c][/b]
