Truthfully I don’t want everyone to like me and I can’t befriend everyone I’d be uncomfortable with that kind of hedonism.
There are all kinds of people in this world and some of them are toxic as hell itself - they love being that way, it’s where they get their kicks from and usually have alliances to back them up when they are called out for their sinister behaviour.
I like to be amongst people who make me feel warm and fuzzy not cold and prickly.

Yup. 🤷♀️ It sucks but it happens. 🤗

I wouldn't call it befriending because friendship comes into existence only after some time. I'd call it initiating a conversation or expressing one's interest in another person. I only remember doing it a few times in my life. It's so funny when I think about it because I'm sure it's very apparent I expect rejection in advance.

@CrazyMusicLover Very good points.

Yeah but dont dwell on it

No, I don’t chase anyone. It has been other way though. Somehow people wanted to come close to me, but I pushed them away because their morals didn’t tally with mine and they tried to justify all their wrong doings.

@SW-User I think that is definitely someone who you would want to stay away from.

Oh well...such is life

I have found my life to be much easier by acting like a Motel 6. I'll leave a light on for you. If you show up, you show up. If you don't...? Like a Motel 6, I got a lot of rooms. 😉

@GwydionFrost Hehehe.

@GwydionFrost You got the right idea.

I don't put efforts in making a friend. It is something which naturally develops and it works well.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Reflection2 This.

I have tried and if they aren't interested it's fine. We can't be everyone's cup of tea.
I’m picky ... and also difficult 🤷🏻♀️

i well understand you in depth.... but that still does not befriend him to me ? or i am still single without a friend
Ladyryan · 51-55, F
Surely you did it for a reason, so it's best to move on.
BlondilyOld · F
You just have to be yourself and if they or you dont click, it's okay.
summersong · F
Yeah, not everyone clicks 🤷♀️

I stopped trying to make friends 20 years ago. I don't even try to keep the ones that I have. I live the best I can and I try to be thoughtful towards the people in my life. Very rarely I meet someone new that wants to spend more time with me. I don't classify them as a friend just enjoy our outing or chats.
Takes a long while to prove yourself a true friend.

@REMsleep Very well said. I have four really good friends and that is all I really need.
