Does this send out alarm bells or is it me being paranoid

Five day ago I turned 18 so now everybody has access to my PM’s which is ok. But I have been getting lots of massages from guys who I don’t know me send me massages with “hi gorgeous or sweetheart” with these emojis 🥰 😉 💕 and even present. Is it normal to feel a bit uncomfortable with these guys or am I just being a snob. When I get massages from strangers that just say “hi how are you” I usually reply and ask how they are if I have time 🤷‍♀️

Some may be nice but others are trying to see if you will send them nudes. I get those messages as well. What makes me very very uncomfortable is when younger guys, not much older than you, send me those types of messages. You can filter out the older folks by scrolling to the bottom of your message page and clicking the filters. I'd you do that their messages go to "requests" so you only have to see them if you click that folder.

@Fungirlmmm funnily enough it’s mainly guys between 20 and 30. Some of them get offered when I ask them if they wouldn’t mind not being so affectionate given that they don’t know me. Plus I get suspicious when they come on so strong as I do away from here, to bad if they get offended. I’d rather not block older people cause they can be nice mostly, but thanks for the advice and I’ll keep it in mind if I have to

It is a matter of creating your own personal boundaries before the creeps make them for you. It is normal to either mute or block someone that comes on too strong. It is a privilege to be in your inbox anyways.

A lot of these guys simply don’t know how to interact thanks to spending to much time on social media rather than face to face. I don’t think they think they are saying anything wrong. The rest of them are just trying their luck or being disrespectful creeps. You’ll get a flurry of these activities now that you have turned eighteen and guys have access to your pm, it will settle down fairly quickly.

@texasdaddydom The problem is if you say hi they assume you’re going to have ongoing chats. The next thing you know 20 people are expecting replies. Then you’re not here for the reasons you want to be 🤷‍♀️

@Khenpal1 I usually don’t block people that make stupid and hostile comments on posts because they tend to self destruct anyway, but I don’t want to have to deal with them on my PM’s as well. Away from here if somebody made the same comments I’d tell them to go fuck themselves and walk away anyway
