Even in retirement you can go out and still give to your community and the world.

I said “you”, I gave plenty at the office.

I did not spend all that time and money shopping for the perfect house then couch, recliner, big ass TV or golf clubs to keep trying to make the world a better place. No longer my turn.

@AthrillatheHunt I used to be asked to say a few words at retirements or when someone was transferring out of or leaving. If applicable, my favorite was, “Many places are better because a person was there, some are because a person left. We’re better here because Mr/Ms (whatever) was here. You will be missed.”

Sometimes giving away money isn’t what they always need sometimes a talk or a hug from another person without need or wanting something in return sometimes giving away money and sitting behind a desk in an office doesn’t allow you to sympathise what those people are going through
