First learn the art of delegation.You can get others to take up a lot of the work.I have 40 people reporting to me.It is about taking on responsibility rather than being in charge.I also like to see others do well and coach so people can resolve their own issues.

@tallpowerhouseblonde: I agree, but in my situation, we work assignment wise so you will not have that big number of people working with you on a single assignment and also unfortunately most of the people in the team were new and inexperienced, I found myself wasting more time because I had to explain things, then revirw what they've done, then correct errors, usually i would go through this process not to get rid of work but in order to have others develop and learn too but under a stressful time at work with tight deadlines I found myself taking on so many tasks to get them done on time, now I can't even catch a break during my leave, sucks and a situation that will need to change.
