The great thing about work is that you don't have to commit to a life-long occupation at 21. Even if you get a law or medical degree, there's a lot of things you can do in the general areas of law or medicine.
Everyone I know over 40 has had at least 2 occupations that were quite different from each other.
So, don't worry about getting pigeonholed.
