Don't most jobs allow u to miss work a few times. Like give you a point system

In general, here's the hierarchy:

- shitty production jobs: miss work once and you're fired (I've experienced it), no flexibility hours/days/anything

- shitty office jobs in small companies (i.e. who don't have the budget): miss work once and you're fired

- comfy office jobs in large corporations (they have billions to play with): dynamic work schedule. You decide when you show up to work and what hours you catch up. One day you show up at 10 a.m. because you spent last night gaming and then you just have to catch up those 2 missed hours in the rest of your week.

We have a winter storm and this "client officer" said this isn't going to work because I couldn't make it through the snow
