Was there ever a time where having a tv in your office meant you were special?

Or is that just my optimistic imagination?

Yes - back in the late 80s & 90s, at least in the places I worked, only the CEO and CFO would have a tv in their office, usually tuned to CNN International.

I would say I would want to live in those times but I doubt I could get an office job back then
