One of my young coworkers insulted me the other day.

I didn't realize it at first because yeah I'm old and I thought she was just saying we're different people. Which to me is cool, it's life. Also we work together and I'm old enough to be her Mom so I'm not trying to be best friends.

I'm always respectful. I was 16 once, and people in their 40's were ancient so I just try to be kind and not the miserable old woman at work.

I guess it's just my turn to be hated because I'm older now.

And now I realize how dumb I was to hate on older people when I was younger. I had no idea lol

I work with a lot of younger women and I honestly find it far easier these days now I’m out of their competition. They keep me in check 😂

@SmoKin I like them all just fine. I was kinda blindsided by the insult because I'm definitely not competition in any way. I thought it was understood I'm the old bat that works in the back just trying to make people laugh.

I always liked older people when I was young. I appreciated the fact that they had wisdom from living so many more years than I did. I know a lot of young people feel just the opposite

I don’t remember hating old people. I do remember thinking 50 was old lol. And now here I am. It’s not that old lol.

@Jonjdw I remember looking at 40 year old women and thinking I don't ever want to be like that 😂 I think it's just realizing I'm not young anymore. We all go through it.
