No job forthcoming

I just watched a video, and it claims that almost all potential employers look at your social media platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, to see what you post about before deciding to go ahead with an interview.
I don't have any TikTok or Instagram posts, but I do have Facebook and although I do not post anything wild, because of my loss, I may sound fairly emo/depressed.
I am beginning to wonder if this may have something to do with applying daily on Indeed, but I keep getting rejected.
Anybody in the know?

Another good reason to have an online alter-ego.

@Nimbus Facebook isn't really private, even if you believe it is.
I don't have my real name up, but I don't know?
I cannot figure out why I automatically get rejected for jobs anybody is qualified for; it's not like I got the skills to be the CEO

@Justmeraeagain Unfortunately many employers are ageist and it equally applies to those who are considered too young.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Nimbus I think that as well. And we have no agencies, in my district at least, that specifically help seniors gain employment.

I don't use any of that either and I never open accounts with my real information.

@HumanEarth That is unfair. Sorry it happened to you.
I think part of it is age discrimination in my case.

I'm 58 so I have a double whammy

@HumanEarth That is how old I am.
And I have not worked for a while.

sorry that you don't get the jobs, i am not sure and never heard of that before, but i guess it is a real thing.
