Why do I work for the government?
Because I chase money and respect like Nino Brown chased a 9 to 5
My life will be spent doing the work no one wants to do to help people that no one wants to help and I’ll be forgotten to the tides of history
And imma be real I think most folks are too cowardly to do such work. Too selfish.
I don’t produce anything for consumers. No one that will ever read this will ever even tangentially know of what we do at my office.
But it has to be done.
In a just world I would be the baseline. Just what a person is expected to do. I’m not remarkable.
But in a world where money is above all, I am remarkable.
And that fills me with a rage that I cannot express.
