I had to cover for another girl last night

for a client who has had two strokes. Her husband was there as well and the love this man has for his wife is absolutely beautiful!!! He helped me get her to the shower, he helped me dress her, she's incontinent and he helped me clean her up and get her changed & was very specific how he wanted things done with her. He has problems of his own so he definitely needs help with her. He told me before I left that he hopes I do another fill in again!
That's the best compliment a caregiver can receive!!! 🥹

Too many people don't realize what kind of devotion and compassion is needed to take care of a lifelong partner that is slowly losing his/her ability to be independent.

Only true love can overcome the obstacles that are present when the one partner suddenly needs the required assistance.

It really takes a special person to do what you do. I was blessed to have several for my mom when she had dementia. You are such a blessing, Angels in fact. Thank you for being such amazing people!
