I almost had to cover a call out today, on my day off, but that got taken care of.
Then I find out my client is in the ER with a possible stroke so I sat in the room with her for probably two hours. They STILL hadn't run but 2 of the 4 tests the Dr ordered.
I came on home since her nephew is there with her...

Do you work for Social Services or private company ?? Curious. Your job definitely sounds demanding and mentally taxing. I havent worked around people with dementia, although, my mom shows early signs. Mostly what we deal with at the prisons are mental health issues and folks who have had alot of battles with substance abuse issues.

@MayorOfCrushtown I work for a private company. This particular client is married and her husband is a client as well. His dementia is progressing, hers is still very early. And yes, it is mentally exhausting at times. Dementia is a terrible terrible thing to witness 😔
I imagine your job is quite draining as well.
