One of my clients is in a new phase of his Dementia.

It hurts so bad to see him slowly slipping away and nothing we can do.
He's sundowning now and we've had to hide the car keys and he's been very hostile lately and a bit handsy with one of the caregivers.
They adjusted his meds again so maybe this will help.
It's so sad that there is treatment but no cure for Dementia....

It’s a difficult one to deal with. My mom had it. She used to hide everything. In her early stages Once she hid her purse in the oven and of course forgot where she put it only to later turn the oven on and all its contents melted. The hardest part for her was when the doctor told her she could no longer drive.

They are so confused and angry and scared.
