@YoMomma Kind of hard to explain. They are like a Mercury Vapor Vaccum tubes or Rectifiers. Can be used for several different High Voltage applications. Here they were used as a safety system. An Ignitron Crowbar. Like a switch. A fast way to short circuit a large amount of power to ground instead of it going other things and blowing them up
