The last requirement for becoming an Associate of the Society of Actuaries is by invite only.
Specifically it's a seminar you have to go to. They send out email invites if you've completed the eligibility requirements, and this round is going out by Friday. They have an internal waiting list that they put candidates on.
I sent them an email asking them to confirm my eligibility status and give me my position in the waiting list. Instead of answering, they just told me that there is an "equitable process" for choosing who's where on the waiting list and that they'll tell me by Friday. So basically just shit I already knew.
I should be more patient. It's only a few more days of waiting, if that, and I'm probably going to get in.
