Age I take it...

JoyfulSilence · 51-55, M
Yeah. I remember going into my grandfather's woodshop after he died and finding cobwebs.

And cigarette butts, used pencils, sawdust, and fingernail clippings.

He made a mirror on a stand for me long ago. I still have it and use it. So he lives on! And every time I look at myself I see a bit of him! Literally.

My dads house was like that.
Frozen in time and covered in grime because he wouldn't let us clean or throw anything away.
Life is so fragile

@PepsiColaP It truly is

Time and age can be so cruel.
Tumbleweed · F
@Degbeme It breaks my heart. Dan is asleep right now & Martha is still in rehab so I'm just quietly looking around and imagining how they once were 🥺

@Tumbleweed In a way do understand what you`re saying. I saw it with my mother. She was always knitting, crocheting or sewing. Then her eyes began to fail and the cancer took over.
Adrift · 61-69, F
@Degbeme I saw it with both of my parents.
It really sucks to see someones independence slowly chip away.

Ask them to tell you about them sometime.
Tumbleweed · F
@SwampFlower Sometimes they do tell me little stories 🥹
Getting old svcks

@MsSwan It really does
@Tumbleweed My neighbor was lucky. She lived to be 90 years old but was active until the end. She even used to clean her own gutters!! She would ask me to keep an eye on her in case she fell off the ladder! 😱

Crazy old bat. 🤭

@MsSwan The lady I do privately is 91 & still drives!
