How Patagonia made an employee homeless

[media=https://youtube.com/shorts/CF1xIxkyUok?si=K9ETMbqIty3pGjxW]

Actually he has a fundraiser and he only has that one video so I think he's good at least. But the idea that there's others out there who haven't gotten any funds and the idea that there's people who jobs are making them homeless makes me angry.

Basically an employee worked at Patagonia for 8 months and the company reimburses alternative transportation so he got an ebike. He hit a pot hole and fractured his leg, went to the hospital.

He then called his work who told him to file for paid sick leave so he did. Was told that since he was only there for 8 months, he didn't qualify so they told him to file unpaid sick leave so he did.

So as he filed for sick leave, a few days later he got an email saying he had voluntarily quit. After trying to reach out to his former bosses and the employees with no answer, he got an email from security warning him to stop emailing or face consequences.

So basically he couldn't keep up with rent and he tried going to a homeless shelter but had to defend himself and got kicked out so was going to live on the streets.

I mean what makes me mad is that they said he voluntarily quit but that's just petty. Someone in hr was mad that day and decided to take it out on him. I mean what explaination is there for being that petty.

@AthrillatheHunt You can like them all you want, I'll still talk about them if they don't treat people good.

@AthrillatheHunt And that's your freedom to do that just as it's mine to criticize if I want to
